TRAVEL INFORMATION
ECLAS 2005 destination Ankara, has the international airport "Esenboga (ESB)", which is located 35 km northeast from the centrum.
The transfers between Esenboga Airport and centrum are held by the buses of HAVAS. The HAVAS buses take their ride due to the plane arrivals from Esenboga to the centrum.
The arrival of the buses are to the terminal of HAVAS which is located in the city. From this terminal you can easily take a taxi to your accomodation.
The fee of the HAVAS buses to centrum is now 8 TRY* (Any changes in the fees will be updated)
Concerning the hotels recomended, the taxi fees from HAVAS terminal to any accommodation are approximately 5 to 10 TRY.
CURRENCY INFORMATION
As of January 01, 2005; 6 zeros dropped from our currency and now one million Turkish Lira (1.000.000 TRL) is equivalent to one New Turkish Lira (1 YTL or known as TRY in foreign markets) and one New Turkish Lira (YTL) is equivalent to 100 New Kurus (100 YKr). TRL banknotes and coins will be in circulation until the end of 2005. Throughout 2005, Turkish Lira and New Turkish Lira banknotes and coins will remain usable for one year.
